This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how "staysafer" ("We," "Our," or "The App") collects, uses, and shares personal information of users ("Users") of the staysafer application. Use of the application implies acceptance of this Policy.

Information Collected During Registration

During registration, staysafer collects the following personal information from Users:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• Company Name
• Password (for registration and login)

Permissions and Accessible Data

• Contacts: staysafer collects, synchronizes and stores your contact data (firstname, lastname, ID, phone numbers) to provide you the listing, management and calling of contacts in your evacuation list. Contact image is uploaded to make it easier to recognize contacts in a list and add them to evacuation list. Contact image is not collected in our servers, therefore other app users cannot see your contact images.
• Camera: The application uses the camera to scan QR codes for invitation at businesses. This feature allows users to associate themselves with a collaborator's company. Camera access is requested only with the explicit consent of the user and is used exclusively for QR code scanning. No images are saved or transmitted without the user's permission.
• GPS (Location): The application uses GPS for evacuation purposes to determine the user's location during emergency situations.
• Phone Number: The phone number is used exclusively for emergency evacuation purposes. We do not share user phone numbers with third parties unless required by law or with the explicit consent of the user.
• Image Information: Image information are collected to enable the functionality to let new contacts join your company and manage them in your company list and evacuation list.

Use of Information

The collected personal information is used for the following purposes:

• To enable access and use of the staysafer application.
• To communicate with users in case of emergencies or evacuations, using GPS data and the phone number provided by users.
• To allow users to select and evacuate contacts from their contact list.
• To scan QR codes for invitation at businesses, in order to associate the user with a collaborator's company. QR code scanning is done with the user's consent, and no images are collected or stored during this process.
• Use of Image Information: Images acquired through the camera are used exclusively for scanning QR codes for invitation at businesses and are not saved or transmitted without the user's permission. These images are not used for purposes other than QR code scanning.

All data collected through the use of the camera and QR code scanning are processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations.

Sharing of Information

staysafer may share the following categories of data with other companies or organizations:

• Personal Information: User email addresses may be shared for communication purposes or other application-related features, always in line with this Privacy Policy.
• Financial Information: If the application involves transactions, the purchase history may be used for managing such transactions and providing support to users.
• Device ID or other IDs: Device IDs or other identifiers may be used to ensure user security, personalize the user experience, and improve our services.

staysafer does not share users' personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

• When users give explicit consent for sharing.
• When required by law or competent authorities.

Access and Modification of Information

Users can access and modify their personal information within the staysafer application.

Security

staysafer implements adequate security measures to protect Users' personal information and prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of data.

Data Retention and Deletion

staysafer retains Users' personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the services described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law. Specifically:

• Account data (first name, last name, email, phone number, company name, password) is retained for the entire duration of the User's active account.
• Contact data and images used for the evacuation list are retained while the account is active and can be removed by the User at any time from within the application.
• GPS/location data, check-in history and request logs are kept for a configurable retention window (default 365 days, minimum 30 days) and are automatically purged when the window expires. The retention period can be adjusted by administrators from Settings → Privacy & Retention → Data Retention within the app.
• When an account is deleted, all associated personal data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., accounting or legal obligations).

How to delete your data: Users can delete their account and all associated personal data directly from the app at any time:

• Open the staysafer app and go to Profile.
• Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner and select the account deletion option.
• Confirm by tapping OK on the "Confirm account deletion" dialog. This action is irreversible and will permanently remove your account and associated personal data.

Alternatively, you can send a deletion request by email to info@staysafer.ch from the email address associated with the account. We will process the request and confirm deletion within 30 days.

You can also request a detailed list of the data we hold about you, or ask for specific data to be corrected or deleted, by contacting us at the email address above.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

staysafer reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Users are encouraged to periodically check this page for updates. Continued use of the staysafer application after the publication of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (EULA)

The use of staysafer is subject to the terms of the Standard Apple License Agreement, available here.
